Dear God,
Please, let my children sleep. On this day, when we are getting a new AC unit installed right above their bedrooms, please let their ears be full of cotton... or lead... or whatever will block out all sound. Because they are tired, Lord. They will be even more tired at 6pm when it's too early to go to bed, too late to nap, and just the right time for dinner table melt downs. And Lord, this will go a long way in preserving my sanity, which you know is very fragile this time of day...
